Dear colleagues,
It is a pleasure for me and our staff and faculty at Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy to be able to welcome you at the 40th annual meeting of Rectors and Deans of Diplomatic Academies and Schools of International Affairs. We very much look forward to this event and hope all of you will enjoy both the academic part of the meeting as well as your general stay in Baku and the field trip to the Caucasus Mountains. We have been working hard for the past year to make this forum interesting and enjoyable. Hosting this event this year is of double joy for us at ADA, because on September 3 we will inaugurate the new, state of the art campus of the Academy.
Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy is proud of its successes. We are still a young institution, but we strive to provide quality education in the country, whose economy is booming and whose public and private sectors urgently need young, well-educated professionals. We hope that the forum in Baku will highlight some of our achievements and challenges and pave the way for the fruitful discussion on possible cooperation between our institutions. We also believe that the conference agenda that we have developed will provide the participants with interesting and timely themes of global politics and its impact on the education and how we train the young generation of IR specialists.
Once again, we look forward seeing you in Baku.
Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev,
Rector
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs
